We wish to thank you for considering partnering with our ministry. Your generosity in prayer and financial support forms a bond as we labor together with a common goal of “Reaching Roman Catholics in a World of Compromise”. We have developed different ways in which you can contribute to the work of the Berean Beacon. All of your donations are fully tax-deductible.
Your gift helps in so many ways. There is a great degree of effort that goes into the daily maintenance and changes to our websites as well as the monthly overhead that is associated with internet technology. Some of our funding goes to pay for administrative cost that also include legal and professional fees. Your gift also helps to defer the expenses in the development and production of our video and audio resources. Other funding is used for distributing resources, printing and mailing charges.
Once you’ve made a donation using your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express via our secure server, we will send you an acknowledgment letter the following month through the US mail. Our secure server also allows you do make donations directly from a checking or savings account using ACH payment, the instruction are easy to follow in the “Donate Now” tab. If you prefer, you can mail your gift to: Berean Beacon, P.O. Box 73, Walloon Lake, MI 49796.
You will be sent an annual statement in January showing your total yearly contributions for tax purposes. All gifts to the Berean Beacon are tax-deductible.
For the past 27 years the Berean Beacon Ministry has been officially recognized by the Internal Revenue Service of the United States of America as a 501c3 tax-exempt organization. We take seriously our God-given responsibility to be a wise, honorable steward of every donation we receive. We are in full compliance with all regulations and requirements to maintain our tax-exempt status and our returns are prepared by a Certified Public Accountant. The tax returns are available for viewing upon request. The ministry is overseen by a board of directors and as resources become available we will seek affiliation with the E.C.F.A. the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.
Donate Now
The Berean Beacon is recognized by the United States of America – Internal Revenue Service as a 501c3 tax-exempt organization and all donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
We encourage you to become a regular monthly supporter of our ministry which you can choose to do in the donation schedule. In the payment section, you will have the option to contribute directly from a checking or savings account by selecting the ACH/Bank option or process a gift by using a credit/debit card.
Gifts of Securities
By donating shares of appreciated securities, you may realize significant tax benefits while making a much needed contribution to the Berean Beacon. Gifts of individual stocks or mutual funds that have increased in value allow friends to generously support our mission of reaching Roman Catholics in a World of Compromise while also receiving significant tax advantages at the same time.
If you decide to gift securities that you have held for more than one year, not only will you receive a charitable deduction for the full value of the shares on the date of transfer, but you will avoid paying capital gains tax on the appreciated value of the donated shares. Giving in this way makes a maximum impact as the IRS has granted the Berean Beacon charitable tax-exempt status and we are not required to pay taxes on the sale of securities we own.
To help ensure a smooth transaction, please follow these simple instructions:
- You will need to provide your banking/broker representative with the Berean Beacon’s account number at Morgan Stanley (142-052332-004) and the Morgan Stanley DTC number (0015). You may also may need our tax ID number (93-1102945).
- You or your representative should also contact our Planned Giving Administrator via email: donations@temp.bereanbeacon.org This will alert us of your donation, help us attribute and receipt your gift, and properly offer you our thanks.
Make a Tax Free Gift Through Your IRA
The IRA Charitable Rollover is now permanent thanks to the “Protecting Americans From Tax Hikes Act of 2015”. This tax provision allows owners of individual retirement accounts who are 70½ or older to make gifts from their IRA directly to non-profit organizations. Applied against the required minimum distribution, an individual may donate up to $100,000 of IRA assets each year to the Berean Beacon Ministry or other charities without reporting the withdrawal as taxable income. Read more below.
What does this mean to you as a supporter of the Berean Beacon?
It allows for direct charitable gifts to be made directly from IRAs. You may make gifts to the Berean Beacon from traditional and Roth IRA accounts without any federal tax liability, as long as the gifts are “qualified charitable distributions.” You may not take a charitable deduction for this donation, but distributions are not included in your adjusted gross income and will qualify for all or part of your Required Minimum Distribution.
Requirements for “qualified charitable distributions”:
- IRA holder must be age 70½ or older at the time of gift
- Gifts will qualify for all or part of your Required Minimum Distribution
- Gifts are tax-free up to $100,000 per year
- Gifts must be outright gifts made directly from your IRA to a charitable organization
- Distributions to donor-advised funds or support organizations are not permissible
- Distributions may only be made from traditional IRA or Roth IRAs, not 401(k) or 403(b) plans

Gifts In-Kind
There are many ways that you can support the global outreach of the Berean Beacon Ministry. In addition to your prayers and financial gifts, did you know that we can accept gifts of personal property? These gifts may include automobiles, real estate, coins, jewelry, or other donated items of value. We understand that many people have desired to help further the work that Richard Bennett started over two decades ago but do not have cash available. Your ability to give may not be in your bank account but you may be willing to offer a non-cash asset. All donations are tax-deductible.
