One day, during an intimate conversation with a Franciscan monk, I had a revelation that shocked me. I began to ask myself, “If the Church of Rome is the true Church of Christ, how is it that one of its best followers, a man of integrity and a disciplined life, is uncertain of his salvation and is suffering intense spiritual perplexity?
